WHAT  IS  PERSONAL TRAINING ?

Physique considers Personal Training to be a long term lifestyle change, working towards your goals and promoting good health and well being.

As everyone is unique each individual is approached slightly differently.






WHY   USE  A  PERSONAL  TRAINER ?

People use Personal Trainers for a variety of reasons.

Whatever you need or want from your Personal Trainer can be discussed and planned to suit your individual needs.

As you progress your needs may change and this will be monitored constantly. Your Personal Trainer will be there to support you every step of the way, to overcome obstacles and achieve your goals.

We believe it is important that what you do is FUN! Then you are more likely to continue and training will become part of your life. We will show you how to vary your training and make it fun.

When you are going through a difficult patch your Personal Trainer will be there to motivate and inspire you.

You can guarantee the training you will be doing will be working the way you want it to. Personal Trainers are trained to teach you how to exercise safely and achieve your desired outcome most effectively.

WHAT  TO  EXPECT :

Your initial consultation will last approximately an hour. You will complete a questionnaire and go through it with your Personal Trainer to find out more about your lifestyle and goals. Physical assessments such as core stability, flexibility and strength are then completed to ensure your Personal Training will be aimed at the right level.

The following sessions will also last approximately an hour, Depending on the outcome of the consultation. They will be tailored to your individual requirements discussed with you to ensure they are appropriate.






WHERE  DOES  PERSONAL TRAINING  TAKE  PLACE ?

We offer a flexible service to fit around your individual needs. The sessions can take place wherever is most convenient or suitable for you. The venue can change from session to session. Below is a list of suggested places.
  • In the comfort and privacy of your home
  • Gym
  • Outdoors - Fields / road / use your imagination
  • Work place - With permission

Ruth Cockerill BSc Hons.

Registered with REPs at Level 3 and Ex International athlete.

I completed my Physiotherapy degree in 2003. At the same time I was selected into the England Netball National Squad and trained as a full time athlete for a year.

Since then I have been working as a Physiotherapist, specialising in sports injuries and have completed a Certificate in Personal Training.

My experience enables me to offer you training that will incorporate exercises to avoid injury as well as rehabilitation and nutritional advice.
